Bottle Shock Second Trailer

The Sundance festival has done alot for the promotion of Bottle Shock: it has been quite welcome by the critics. And it seems the production team get some additional funds to revamp the trailer of the movie.

Here below Bottle Shock trailer 2:

1976
They didn't have the History.
They didn't have the culture.
All they had was a dream!

Bottle Shock
Based on a true story.
The marketing of the movie has been updated too, with a synopsis comparing the Judgment of Paris to the landing on the Moon for America:

"There are certain moments in history when America has proven itself to the world: Neil Armstrong setting foot on the Moon; or the US Men’s Hockey team beating the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics. One such moment, however, never got the recognition it deserved: In 1976, a small American winery bested the exalted French wines of the time and sent the wine industry into a tizzy - putting California wines on the map for good. Based on a true story, Bottle Shock chronicles the events leading up to the famous ‘Judgment of Paris’ tastings, told through the lives of father and son, Jim and Bo Barrett. "

I like this shift in the way they promote Bottle Shock. The movie although great was in need of something more catchy to attract people to the theater. This new Bottle Shock trailer should help!

Bottle Shock Cast Interview

Here below an interview of the cast of Bottle Shock, an upcoming movie that recounts the story of the Judgment of Paris, which marks the revelation of California wines' quality:

Bottle Shock is not really a movie about wine for me: it's more a movie about people who are proud of what they do and give their best at it in order to produce something of quality and of value. Makes me think that the cast of Bottle Shock has been well chosen.

Bottle Shock Official Trailer

French wines were once considered as the only quality wines in the world. But the the Judgment of Paris, when California wine beat French wine in a blind taste test, has changed this monopole in the world of wine.

Bottle Shock tells the story of what lead up to this famous Judgment of Paris. The movie is directed by Randall Miller and is starring Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman and Chris Pine. Bottle Shock is slated for a release in early August 2008.

Here below the first official trailer of Bottle Shock which was unveiled at the Sundance Festival:

The Plot:
"English wine expert Steven Spurrier travels to the not-yet-famous Napa Valley to learn about California Winemaking. There he meets a struggling vintner and discovers wine so extraordinary he decides to organize the famous Judgment of Paris taste test." (Source: Wikipedia)

I was wondering about the title of this movie. Actually it is not random, here a definition of this expression:

Bottle Shock: Travel shock. A temporary condition characterized by muted or disjointed fruit flavors. It often occurs immediately after bottling or when wines are shaken in travel. Rest is the cure!!

I don't like alcohol and thinks that whatever the wine it just tastes awful, but Bottle Shock seems to be a nice movie. So I may give it a try.
